BVRMC Thanks Donors at Life Saver Reception

Amber Chrischilles | March 26th, 2024

The Buena Vista Regional Healthcare Foundation held a Life Saver Reception on March 20 to thank donors and demonstrate the life-saving equipment being purchased through the Foundation’s annual Life Saver Campaign.

Donors are helping to purchase a new endoscopy system for BVRMC’s Surgical Services Department. BVRMC will be the first in the region to use this advanced equipment, giving doctors an even clearer view when performing colonoscopies and other gastrointestinal procedures.

Over the years, the Life Saver Campaign has helped purchase equipment for various departments. Donations are used to support the hospital, helping to provide even greater care for our community.

Previous campaign purchases included ambulance cots, stair chairs and power lifts for the ambulances to reduce staff injuries; interactive equipment for Rehab Services to assist patients with strokes and to prevent falls; and a pulmonary function testing machine to help patients breathe easier.
