Join your friends and enjoy a little retail therapy while helping a good cause during Sassy Saturday in Storm Lake – Saturday, October 7. 
Storm Lake United, Storm Lake merchants and Buena Vista Regional Medical Center team up to offer Sassy Saturday each October.
Here’s how it works: Purchase a Sassy Saturday Savings Card for a donation of $5. Cards are available at any of the participating businesses or the Storm Lake United office through October 7. The card entitles the participant to exclusive savings deals at each of the participating businesses! The deals are listed on the card or will be available on the Storm Lake United Facebook page.
All proceeds benefit BVRMC’s P.i.n.k. (Providing Imaging Needs & Knowledge) program, which helps women who are underinsured, or do not have insurance, access mammograms services.
The cards take the place of wristbands that were sold in previous years, making it easier for participants to view all the savings offers.
Participants can register for a chance to win a P.i.n.k. gift basket, courtesy of BVRMC.
Also, visit Paxtons Jewelry for the popular Pink Rocktober event. Balloon Bash sales begin October 2, with a chance to win special prizes hidden inside the balloons. Proceeds from the balloon sales also go to BVRMC P.i.n.k. The Cake Dig for a grand prize will be held downtown at noon on Saturday, October 7.

It helps build awareness for vital breast cancer screening,” said Gelder Pineda of SLU. “Storm Lake United is happy to partner with Buena Vista County Regional Medical Center and local businesses to create a fun savings event while helping to promote health care for women in our area.”
