Buena Vista Regional Medical Center announces the top 2018 baby names.

“Everyone did a great job of being creative or original with their baby’s name. We had 31 names that were given to more than one baby and most of those only shared with one other baby,” reported Tracy Terry, First Embrace Obstetrics.

Shown is new mom and her baby.

Various forms of “Jackson” led the boys list with Jack, Jax, or Jaxson. Next in line were Ben, Benjamin or Benny followed by Alexander and Jorge. New additions to the list were Cayden and Ayden or Aden.

Evelyn was the dominate girls name of 2018 while a close time of Alaina and Aleyna; followed by Mila, Milan, Leila and Lylah.

“Today’s parents turn to sources that they love, as well as the sound of the name. Creativity along with being unique best describe today’s parent’s choices,” added Tracy.
