Buena Vista Regional Medical Center will be officially employing Dr. Jason Dierking, Board Certified General Surgeon, as a BVRMC employee starting July 31, 2017. The new clinic will be named Buena Vista General Surgery and continue to stay at the 210 East 5th Street location in Storm Lake just south of the BV County Courthouse.
Dr. Dierking has been practicing general surgery at BVRMC and operating a surgery clinic in Storm Lake since 2007. Patients will notice no changes in the care they receive before or after the transition which will be mid August. He will also continue to provide services to Cherokee Regional Medical Center as he has done for many years.
“This change will help us to continue to grow surgery opportunities in our area and providing high quality services to patients close to their home. I look forward to continuing to serve the surgical needs in the region,” states Dr. Dierking.
The change will assist Dr. Dierking with efficiencies and support from BVRMC with duties such as scheduling, medical records and billing. Dr. John Armstrong will join Buena Vista General Surgery in September of 2017.
