Twelve recipients were selected to receive nursing scholarships from the Buena Vista Regional Healthcare Foundation for the 2026-2027 academic year.

“I have worked at BVRMC for 13.5 years and had the privilege of knowing Mary Jo during my time here. I hope to be as compassionate, kind and caring as she was throughout her career at BVRMC and her life,” says Mary Jo Dellwo Memorial Nursing Scholarship recipient Tara Kron. “Thank you for the generosity of this scholarship.”

“The compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by the nursing staff at BVRMC had a profound impact on my life,” says William and Evelyn Meyer Nursing Scholarship recipient Kristen Pritchard. “Their example inspired me to return to school and pursue a career where I can make a similar difference in the lives of others.”

“Receiving this scholarship reminds me that there are generous individuals who believe in students like me and are willing to invest in my future,” continues Pritchard. “Your support is making a meaningful difference in my life, and I am sincerely grateful.”

“Supporting future nurses is one of the most meaningful ways we can invest in the health of our communities,” says Katie Schwint, Executive Director of Community Development. “These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in education and in the future of health care. We are proud to help these students take the next step toward careers that will make a lasting difference in the lives of others.”
