Buena Vista Regional Medical Center is one of nine Iowa hospitals who made Becker’s Hospital Review list for the best hospitals for patient experience in the Midwest.
The list was compiled using the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The HCAHPS summary star ratings include an average score from 10-topic specific measures. These ratings help to spotlight excellence in health care quality.
The list includes hospitals from the 12 states that make up the Midwest that received a five-star patient experience summary rating. 78 hospitals made the list, including BVRMC.
