BVRMC’s Michele Kelly Named Chief Clinical Officer

Buena Vista Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Michele Kelly, RN, MSN, CPHQ, has been named Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and will succeed Dawn Bach who will retire on September 30. Michele has been with BVRMC for 31 years in a variety of roles, most recently as the Executive Director of Quality. Michele received her diploma in nursing from St. Joseph’s Mercy in Sioux City, Bachelors in Nursing from Briar Cliff in Sioux City, and Masters in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha. In addition to her service at BVRMC, Michele has also served as President of the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders and is currently a member of the Iowa Hospital Association Board of Officers and Trustees.

“I am very excited to begin my new role as the Chief Clinical Officer at BVRMC. I have had the privilege and honor of serving our community in various nursing roles here at BVRMC for over 3 decades,” states Michele. “This new role will allow me to serve in a new capacity. Storm Lake has been my hometown for my entire life and nothing gives me more pleasure than serving this community that has given me and my family so much over the years. I look forward to this opportunity.”

Michele will assume her new position on October 1, 2020.
