2019 Top Baby Names at BVRMC

edoebel | December 26th, 2019

Buena Vista Regional Medical Center announces the top 2019 baby names.

“Everyone did a great job of being creative or original with their baby’s name. We had 25 names that were given to more than one baby and most of those only shared with one other baby,” reported Tracy Terry, First Embrace Obstetrics. “It’s really fun to hear the stories about how parents pick the name.”

Most popular boy names: Tate, Daniel/Danny, Bryan/Bryant, and Christian/Cristian/Cristiano.

Most popular girl names: Amelia, Eleanor/Elenor/Elsie/Ellie, Emma, and Sophia/Sofia/Sofie.

Two names, Sawyer and Emerson, were both used for a boy and a girl name.

“Today’s parents use family names, those of famous people or from a variety of social media sources. Sometimes they just get creative with spelling so it’s unique to their child,” added Tracy.
