Buena Vista Regional Medical Center has implemented the new Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) training program through contributions given in memory of Judy Sievers, who passed away in August, 2016. Judy was a long-time resident of the Albert City and Storm Lake areas, and was a member of the Buena Vista Regional Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors. The purchase of the equipment needed for the RQI program was made possible with donations given in memory of Judy, along with a generous gift from Scott Sievers, husband of Judy, given in memory of his wife and in honor of their children, Brad, Jill and Steven. The RQI training program makes advanced learning modules possible. Hands-on time with the mobile cart, eSimulation patient cases, exam questions all of which will enhance the resuscitation skills of the caregiver.
