Kathy Tiedeman- Physical Therapist since 1996. Employed at BVRMC since 2003. Physical Therapy degree
from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Working on board certification in orthopaedics.
Special interests include orthopaedics, clinical education, and lymphedema.
Alan Schlechten - Physical Therapist since 2003. Employed at BVRMC since 2008. Bachelors degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Colorado State University. Physical Therapy degree from University of Sydney, Australia.
Special interests include manual therapy of the spine. Working on board certification in orthopaedic manual therapy from the IOMA.
Kim McCleary- Physical Therapist since 1991. Employed at BVRMC since 2009. Bachelors degree from Briar Cliff University. Physical Therapy degree from University of Kansas Medical Center.
Special interests include outpatient orthopaedics, manual therapy, and and vestibular (dizziness) rehab.
Physical Therapist Assistants
Russell Chrischilles- Physical Therapist Assistant since 1998. Employed at BVRMC since 2004. Bachelors degree from
Luther College and Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Blackhawk Community College.
American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) Certified Personal Trainer. Musculoskeletal Advanced Proficiency Award recipient from the American Physical Therapy Association.
Special interests include aquatic therapy and orthopaedics.
Julia Behm- Speech-Language Pathologist since 1978. Associated with BVRMC since 1991.
Masters degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Special interests include
geriatrics, focusing on swallowing, language, cognition, and speech, as well as pediatric speech and language therapy.
Kyle Bartz-Occupational Therapist since 2008. Employed at BVRMC since 2008. Masters degree from
the University of South Dakota. Special interests include geriatrics and stroke.
Stephanie McClellan- Occupational Therapist since 2000. Employed at BVRMC since 2004. Masters degree from
the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minnesota. Certifications in Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE)
and Interactive Metronome Physical Capacity Profile (PCP).
Special interests include FCE and hand therapy.
Sonia Banuelos- Interpreter/Community Liaison at BVRMC since 2013. br />

Services Secretary at BVRMC since 1994.
Gaylene Nixon-Rehab Tech at BVRMC since 2002. Certified as a nursing assistant (C.N.A.),
medical aide, and in restorative rehabilitation.
